This mop is awesome. The included pads work well and clean up nicely. I rinse THOROUGHLY and air dry them before adding them to my other microfiber towel "to wash" bin. I have 4 of each style mop pad and that's sufficient for my home. LOVE the mop!!
I have been purchasing many types of mops with washable pads over the years and haven't really been happy with any of them. Problems, pad won't stay on, edges won't get into corners, pads to large, etc. I found Maker's Mop and didn't believe it would work either. I was wrong!!!! I just didn't see how it could do a very good job being taco shaped and not that big. It gets into edges, corners, does baseboards at the same time. Flip it over and use the clean side. I did buy several of the heavy duty pads so I would have enough clean ones to get my job done without having to throw into the washing machine.. Washes great and I hang to air dry. Head locks in place. Leans against wall without falling down. Don't use rinse! May cost a bit more but so worth it! I do wish it had a hanging hole at the top.
I’ve been a diehard Bona user. But, Melissa’s mop has always intrigued me. I saw Kay Patterson (The organized soprano/YouTube) use the mop. When my Bona mop had passed it’s time, I decided to buy this mop. I think it’s great. It gets behind the toilet bowl, up the wall (to dust) and the pad really cleans.
My husband likes it. I got more mop pads and we are ready for spring cleaning.
Deep Clean Mop Pad
I put several mop pads into a bucket of Lysol and water. Afer I have used one pad on both sides, I set it aside and use another pad from the bucket of clean water and Lysol and so on until the entire floor has been scrubbed. The water and Lysol in the bucket stay clean because I never put a dirty used pad in it. And, when I switch pads, I am always using a clean pad--that has two sides on it to use. This technique beats watching the wash water turn dirty as you rinse out a mop that has been used on a dirty floor, and then use that dirty mop on the rest of your floors. You cannot find a better system for assuring that your floors are clean.
Also, for scrubbing my floors, I always use the heavy duty scrub pads.
Finally, the mop is lightweight and easy to use, and the mop head swivels effortlessly into the corners of any room. Can't be beat!
